If in the previous episode the focus of the story was on the character Morty, now "Childrick of Mort" pays attention to a character who may be very often overlooked but has a comedy that no other character, Jerry, has. The father of Morty and the husband of his son Rick often appear only for side humor, but here he has his own time to use humor that is no less ridiculous than Rick and Morty.

“Childrick of Mort” opened with one of the family heading for their picnic. Jerry (Chris Parnell) drives with his wife Beth (Sarah Chalke) sitting next to him. Behind Summer (Spencer Grammer) sits with Morty and Rick (Justin Roiland). The typical family who wants to go on a picnic, and the typical young kid who doesn't want to go out with Summer is more likely to go to a friend's party and Morty plays  video games at his house. Normal family life. But "normal family life" only lasted maybe a minute.

Rick finds a message from a woman named Gaia that she is pregnant and is pregnant with Rick's child. One family, instead of being shocked or shocked, said Rick was a  fuckboy . The silliness of this family is simply unbelievable, and that's why  Rick and Morty  is never boring at all. Even Beth, who was Rick's son, stubbornly forced Rick to meet Gaia. "I can't let you ignore your son like you ignore me," Beth firmly told Rick, who could only surrender.

Rick is a scientist whose job always flies to other planets and exploring dimensions, so it's no wonder that Rick takes his family to outer space to go to Gaia's planet. James Siciliano, who as the author of this episode, multiplies the ridiculousness by making Gaia not a person, but the planet they are headed for. That's right, as Rick said to his whole family, "I fucked a planet."

To determine Rick and Morty's best episodes  , I usually divide them into two categories. The first is an episode that feels really complicated but also very clever, an episode that really makes me have to think about solving what just happened. And the second is an episode so ridiculous that it feels like no one else can do it but Rick and Morty . Like the episode "Pickle Rick" which appeared in the third season. If an episode had either of those two things, then of course I would love it a lot. And "Childrick of Mort" falls into the second category, with ridiculousness that is beyond common sense.

"Childrick of Mort" takes its name from the 2006 film  Children of Men , which tells the story of the last pregnant woman on earth. Both have a relationship, both take the theme of pregnancy. But in “Childrick of Mort” being pregnant is a planet, so maybe I can't match that movie. The planet every few minutes launches hundreds of creatures that look like a  gingerbread but have a slightly similar appearance to Rick. Hey, I'll just start calling the creature a  gingerbread . Forced by Beth, Rick finally tries to take care of hundreds of his children.

Rick and Beth end up trying to make cities for the gingerbread kids  , while Jerry invites Morty and Summer to do what he wanted to do before, camping. But even at the camp, his two children didn't want to participate, which ended up hurting Jerry. He left, and after an accident, he met dozens of abandoned gingerbread children  because they were unproductive, just like Jerry, who was also unemployed.

Jerry, if given the right story, can provide silly humor, not inferior to Rick and Morty. His behavior here is also very unreasonable, where previously he was always considered useless but now has created a village (or a cult) for the  exiled gingerbreads , and he is effectively deified by those creatures. “Childrick of Mort” succeeds in giving several side characters a chance to shine, and Jerry more than adequately brings out the humor and comedy we anticipate from series like  Rick and Morty through his naive demeanor.

The ridiculous humor of “Childrick of Mort” may be tough enough for early viewers, but for those who have followed  Rick and Morty from the start and have seen all kinds of silliness at his disposal, “Childrick of Mort” is one of the wildest episodes. and the most chaotic (in a good way) it has.
