Eye care and eye make-up go hand in hand sometimes, especially in the case of mascara and eyeliners. Having an eye care routine and best eye care products can coincide with the job of mascara and help our eyes. Can the way to look beautiful become the way to look healthy and well as well?

Importance of using organic products

With the rise in consumer demands, many products of different industries began to be made industrially instead of the traditional methods. Very few people have the time to crush and grind the spices instead of using a ready-made pack of spices that take a minute to use. And with the right product, people change their ways of life if the product is efficient and cheap.

Because of this philosophy being followed by many in the industrial age, more and more people have switched to the instant solutions whether they are edibles or products of any other use. And with the rapid scientific and technology advancements, it was thought to be the only right option.

But with the passage of time, many of scientific revelations are showing how the industrial solutions of mass production are ending up more harmful than good for all of us. Whether it is the preservatives added to many products we use to extend their shelf life, or PFAs that are used for various purposes, such as in non-stick utensils.

Organic products as twice the solution

With each research being conducted about the industrial products and their ingredients, the list of harmful chemicals keeps on increases. These chemicals may not only be harmful for us individually, but on the environment as well. Many chemicals such as CFCs have been the cause of the ozone depletion and other environmental hazards that may take 20 to 50 years before the environment is rid of their effects if we reduce their usage.

While many products are being replaced chemically and industrially on a large scale, some industries are still struggling to find the right chemicals or chemicals with least side-effects. One of these industries is the self-care and beauty industry.

After many revelations, the industry has had to make a few tweaks to its production but most of it has not been too different from the problematic products. These products have to be especially sensitive as our skin is an important organ of our body and whatever we apply to it can have serious repercussions.

More so, the application of these products on our skin and hair can be dangerous as our skin absorbs at least 30% of the contents of products we often apply on our skin. These chemicals then enter our body and end up causing problems through our blood stream. Which is why organic ingredients are taking lead when it comes to being reliant on skin care products.

Organic mascara and eyecare products

Mascara is quite an important part of the cosmetics and a self-care product that works for the skin around our eyes and has direct contact with them. Mostly, a basic mascara is made with oils, waxes, and pigmentations. As no organization regulates beauty and self-care products properly, it is taxing on the nerves to think what other ingredients may be added in the products to make them function well. These same ingredients end up causing more harm than good.

Here is a way to make an organic mascara right at home. The ingredients used may be wholly good so you don’t have to worry about their after-effects. And the recipe is so easy, you can probably whip it up on your own. What’s more, the mascara will have great effects on your eyes and your eyes will feel a lot better.

All-natural mascara you can make at home

The ingredients include:

2 tablespoon of coconut oil 4 tablespoon aloe vera gel ½ to 1 tablespoon beeswax pellet 1 to 2 capsules of activated charcoal or cocoa powder (for colours black and brown respectively) Mascara container

Mix coconut oil, aloe vera gel, and beeswax pellets after melting them all in a pan. Add the pigment of your choosing and after mixing it well with oil mixture, remove the heat. Then filter the mixture and the residue can be added to the mascara container. After cooling it down, it will be instantly usable.

Make sure to discard the mascara in case of any smell or change in colour or texture. Sooner or later, organic products are prone to be a source of bacteria culture.
