Before Game of Thrones successfully stole the attention and became a part of pop culture

Consisting of 10 episodes, Romulus premiered in early November. Marco Chimenz , previously successful with the series Gomorrah as well as Suburra , is acting as executive producer. He collaborated with director Matteo Rovere, who previously had experience in lifting the story of Romulus and his twin brother, Remus, through The First King . 

The choice of Chimenz and Rovere to present Romulus in ancient Latin was indeed a breath of fresh air, considering that films or series with the same background are often presented in English, thus reminiscent of Shakespeare's stage plays . Even modern Italian usage is not their first choice. Hence, Romuluseven looks more realistic, or at least as realistic as can be done for series like this. All actors must carefully study the good lines, and then pronounce them from the heart, to avoid the impression of memorization. No wonder improv acting is forbidden.

Romulus starred a line of actors and actresses from Italy, such as Andrea Arcangeli , Francesco Di Napoli , and Marianna Fontana , who played the main character of the series; Yemos, Wiros, and Ilia. It is through this three-character perspective that we can "learn" about the history and past of Rome. 

To support the epic and colossal impression, hundreds of actors were also involved, as well as a line of reliable stuntmen to produce dramatic battle scenes. With all these unique "differences," explained Romulusbe a show that is a pity to miss. It's just that, prepare yourself to remain fully concentrated in watching it, because besides having a fairly winding and complex storyline, the use of ancient Latin can be a distraction when watching Romulus, considering that we are not used to hearing it.
