Review of the 2021 "Cinderella" film, a more modern and realistic depiction of fairy tales

Six years since Kenneth Branagh presented Cinderella (2015) which was not only able to achieve commercial success throughout its broadcast period but also managed to get widespread acclaim from world film critics, Kay Cannon ( Blockers , 2018) is now presenting her interpretation of the classic story whose popularity originated from a story entitled Cendrillon ou la petite pantoufle de verre published in 1697 by the French fairy tale writer Charles Perrault. Delivered with a musical narrative structure, the presentation of the latest feature film from Cinderella whose script was also written by Cannon tries to present a more modern scope of story and characters with a touch of a strong feminist point of view. The basic story of this film is still the same, telling the story of an orphaned girl named Ella ( Camila Cabello ) who is now forced to live under the same roof with her stepmother, Vivian ( Idina Menzel ), and her two daughters, Malvolia ( Maddie Baillio ) and Narissa ( Charlotte Spencer).). Minnie Driver's Appearance ,Pierce Brosnan , and Tallulah Greive also complete the quality of the acting performances in this film, although present in the portion of the story that is not too maximal.

Movie Cinderella 2021 was a work written and directed directly by Kay Cannon. Starring Camila Cabello, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, Idina Menzel and several other top stars, this film manages to bring back an old fairy tale that is packaged very modernly by presenting several musical performances like a musical drama show. 

Although not much different from the iconic and legendary stories that are already known, this film still presents something new with various adaptations that are more realistic in real life.

Having the same plot and plot, Cinderella's character, played by Camila Cabello, is described as an ambitious young woman who has a dream to set up a shop so that she can sell her own clothes designs. Living with his mother and two stepsisters makes him not free to express his dreams and desires.

The appearance of Nicholas Galitzine, who plays Prince Robert, is strongly supported by his sturdy posture and symmetrical face shape, which really describes a handsome prince who is very dashing. Again the change in the background of the character is shown in the character of the prince. 

Unlike the previous legend where the meeting between Cinderella and the Prince happened by accident, in this film the Prince had previously met Cinderella in the changing ceremony of the palace guard anonima netflix. 

Prince's interest in Cinderella made him willing to disguise himself as an ordinary citizen just to meet and invite Cinderella directly to his dance.

Although it has some changes to some of the storyline, this film also retains other iconic characters such as pets who will later turn into coachmen who will take Cinderella to the dance.
